FANNE MWAMBI January 2020 sounds like the kind of year when we do things differently. It’s not a usual kind of year, even with the tone it carries. It feels as though we have arrived somewhere or need to be somewhere, so if you haven’t, then do something! It’s been 10 years of parenting three girls, a journey, not only worth writing about, but one I had a chance to document every week! I was brave in 2019, but it took my father’s death to finally face my fears. I made decisions only crazy and inspired people do, and accomplished things that shocked me the most. Set goals you can achieve 2020 demands more and we must live up to it. To match up to it lets make resolutions we can accomplish. Teach your children to be better humans and improve your family values. Share a family meal at least once a day, pray every day, get a workout plan, eat healthier, work harder and learn to stop and rest. Remember the reasons why you work hard and let your achievements inspire you to do greater. Live in gratitude This year, cut down on your complaints. Replace those with gratitude. Try to find a reason to be grateful, because every situation could have been worse, but it isn’t. Be grateful that you have fees to raise, that you have rent to look for, that you have a child to shop for…be grateful that you have a schedule to work with and a friend to hang out later in the evening with. Be thankful that your wife waits up for you and your husband goes out of his way to provide the little he brings. This year, let’s say more ‘thank yous’ than we ever have and we could be surprised by the outcome it brings. Because 2020 sounds rich, loved, fulfilled and accomplished, let’s match up to it and see what stories we tell in the end. I have just started. Thank you for being our avid reader, day in day out. I hope we give you something valuable. Cheers to more!
