Wanyama distances self from woman claiming she slept with him for Sh0.7m
Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has distanced himself from local socialite Shakila who claimed to have slept with the former Tottenham star for Sh7000, 000.
Wanyama who currently plies his trade for MSL side Impact Real, where he is believed to be earning around Sh8 million a week, denied having ever met the socialite and through his lawyer Wambilianga Majani and Associates, requested for investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) against the claims made by the woman.
“My attention has been drawn to a video circulating online containing false, fabricated and insulting allegations aimed at scandalizing my good name and reputation.
I wish to distance myself completely from the contents of this defamatory video.
The allegations made therein are a total fabrication and a figment of the maker’s imagination at best,” said Wanyama in a statement.
He added: “I have never met any party in the video. I strongly condemn the actions of both the woman in the video and the publisher of the video Arthur Mandela via his instagram account @xtiandela for encouraging the disparagement of character of individuals based on false accusatory statements.”
In a video call interview that has gone viral, the socialite only known as Shakila claimed to have slept with 15 local celebrities and ranked Wanyama as the best in bed among the 15.
She also claimed to have had an affair with Wanyama’s brother whom she didn’t mention his name, without Wanyama’s knowledge.
