US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Kenya: itinerary

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Kenya on Wednesday morning in his first African tour that will see him visit three African countries.
The US top diplomat was received by Kenya's Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Rachel Omamo at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
"Vipi WaKenya! Glad to be in Kenya, a nation with which we have a deep and long-standing friendship.

"Looking forward to meeting with government officials and civil society to discuss our shared interests and affirm our strategic partnership," Blinken wrote on Twitter shortly after landing.
Blinken will meets Kenyan civil society at Sankara Hotel at 11am before heading to State House for talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He will have a joint press conference with CS Omamo at Serena Hotel in Nairobi at 3pm before heading to August 7 Memorial Park
He will then visit Karura Forest then end the day back at Sankara with Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu.
