Traffic cops arrested for arresting boss!
Kenyan policemen’s (and women too!) endless penchant for big and small bribes is legendary, but who in their right-thinking minds would expect that the cancer would come knocking at the door of the most senior policeman in Kenya, IG General Hillary Mutyambai!
And so, in September this year, it duly arrived! The country wok up to hilarious news that two traffic officers in Machakos County were fired after allegedly trying to squeeze some bribes from the new IG who was travelling in a taxi to his rural home.
The two clueless cops were manning a checkpoint in Wamunyu - along the Machakos-Kitui Road when one of the officers started harassing the cab driver, prompting Mutyambai to intervene.

It was reported that the second officer quickly closed in on Mutyambai and ordered him to keep quiet and mind his business, or they’d arrest him! Guess who had the last laugh!
