Ruto allies now blame MP Kanini Kega over chaos in Kieni
Deputy President William Ruto's allies in Mt Kenya have accused Kieni MP Kanini Kega of organising goons to disrupt DP's meetings in Kieni on Sunday.
Led by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, the MPs said Kanini was hellbent on disrupting Ruto's meetings and yet he has been welcoming his (Ruto's) nemesis Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi.
"The difference between me and Kanini is that he is pushing Raila Odinga to be president and I'm pushing William Ruto," Gachagua said.
Chaos erupted in Kieni constituency on Sunday hours before the arrival of DP William Ruto.
A clip seen by People Daily Digital on Sunday, September 5, showed some of the protesters lighting bonfires and blocking the road leading to Mbiriri Church.
DP Ruto finally attended the church service peacefully.
