APS Bomet FC is the surprise package with four consecutive wins in the 2021/22 season National Super League after four rounds.

The South Rift-based side beat visiting Muhoroni Youth FC 1-0 at Bomet Stadium Sunday in what was a well-fought battle. So far, APS Bomet has not conceded a goal to underscore good balance in the team as the team has also scored six goals in total against the four opponents it has met thus.

The team continued its promising run four weeks after the league was stopped by the Sports Ministry.

Meanwhile, APS’ close challengers Mombasa Elite FC and Coastal Heroes met at Serani Grounds Saturday settling for a 2-2 draw to lose ground on the current leaders.

Elite is on 10 points off four matches while Heroes is on nine points with the same number of matches played. Saturday was a day of pure draws with 14th placed Dandora Love FC and eighth-placed Muranga Seal in a goal-scoring spree following a 2-2 result at Camp Toyoyo Grounds. In another contest, At Awendo Green Stadium,12th placed Shabana tied 1-1 with returnees Zoo FC who are down in 15th with only two points after two ties off three matches.

Former Premiership side Kisumu All-Stars FC’s bad start to the season persisted following a surprise 0-1 to newcomers Naivas FC away at Ruaraka Grounds Sunday. In three matches,Otenga, as they are popularly known, are on a single point and deep in the relegation zone. Coach Salim Babu’s side who missed the playoffs by a single point now has to muster some strategy to come good soon.

Elsewhere, Gusii FC finally got their winning boots following their 2-0 win over visiting Mwatate United.
