Ngaruiya appointed new Mediamax CEO

Mediamax Network Ltd has appointed Ken Ngaruiya as its new Group Chief Executive Officer effective from Friday last week.

Ngaruiya, who has been acting in the same position since June 2019, has served the company for 10 years in various senior posts, including that of Chief Operations Officer.

“The Board of Directors of Mediamax Network Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Ngaruiya as the Group Chief Executive Officer effective January 22, 2021,” the Board of Directors said.

Ngaruiya is an accountant and a First-Class graduate in Commerce (Accounting) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

He also attended Harvard Business School and Cornell University.

“He has close to 20 years’ experience in the Media, Advertising and Manufacturing Industries and has served in various capacities which include; COO and Chief Finance Officer at Mediamax, COO Crown Solutions Ltd (Gases) & CFO Red Sky Ltd,” said the board in the announcement.

It added that in the 10 years at Mediamax he has gained extensive leadership experience through the various roles and engagements. 

He is expected to continue with his strategy to lead the company through digital transformation of its media platforms that include, radio, television, print and digital, the board added.

The Mediamax media staple include K24 TV, Kameme TV, Kameme FM, Milele FM, Msenangu FM, Emoo FM, Mayian FM, Meru FM, People Daily newspaper and two websites — www.k24tv.co.ke and www.pd.co.ke.
