National Super Alliance chief executive Norman Magaya has been flown outside the country for specialised medical treatment.
In statement sent to newsrooms by the Orange Democratic Movement Communications (ODM) Director Phillip Etale, Magaya is expected to be out of the country for about 12-15 days where he will be under the care of expert doctors.
"We thank you for your support during this trying time and request for your prayers for his full and speedy recovery. The ODM party continues to stand with our luminary through this process until his return", said Etale.
Magaya has been in and out of hospital since December 2017, when he suffered a heart attack.
He first collapsed in August 2017 at the national tallying centre in Bomas of Kenya during the tabulation of presidential votes after the General Election.
Recently, ODM leader Raila Odinga visited him for the second time at Nairobi Hospital while in the company of Godfrey Osotsi and Antony Oluoch.
