Moses Kuria will be endorsed for top Nairobi leadership position if he joins Raila – Babu Owino says
Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has on Wednesday November 3, 2021 implored on Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria to consider joining Raila's camp in exchange of a plum position in the Nairobi county leadership.
The ODM lawmaker did not however specify the position that their camp is willing to give up for the Gatundu South legislator.
"Hon.Moses Kuria should join Baba as soon as today and be given one of the top Nairobi leadership positions," he said.
The Gatundu lawmaker has lately dissociated himself from the camps of the two frontrunners, Raila and Ruto, in the Uhuru succession race.
Kuria was until his new stance, a diehard supporter of Deputy President William Ruto and a founding member of his growing hustler nation camp.
The vocal politician broke ranks with the hustler nation after the DP insisted that any politician who wishes to join forces with him must fold their political parties and join UDA.
Kuria was however of a different opinion, according to him, Mt Kenya leaders must coalesce around one regional party to bolster their bargaining power after Uhuru's retirement.
The lawmaker has since teamed up with ex-Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri and Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua in what they term as a group that will champion the interests of the region upon the exit of their current kingpin, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
