Man charged with telling woman ‘hauna suruali’
David Kigoma Onguyi was on January 7 freed on Sh20,000 cash bail by a Milimani law court after he denied charges of insulting Irene Nyaboke Mokaya.
The court heard that on January 5, Kigoma created disturbance telling Irene "mchafu wewe hauna suruali na kama uko nayo imetoboka na utafute tissue ujipanguze ukienda kukojoa (you filthy, you have no pantie and if you have it is torn, look for toilet paper and use it as you pee)"
Kigoma was charged with creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace, contrary to Section 95 (b) of the Penal Code.
Mokaya committed the offence at Maasai Market along Taifa Road in Nairobi County and allegedly threatened to beat the complainant.
According to Article 95 (1) of the Penal Code, a person found guilty of such an offence is liable to six months imprisonment.
