A Nyamira MCA was on Saturday arrested for allegedly defiling a schoolgirl.
Magwagwa Ward Rep Fred Omaiyo was arrested after parents of the girl made a report to the police in Ekerenyo on Thursday.
Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba said the girl was picked from her home on Monday evening by the MCA and no one knew where she was until when she resurfaced on Thursday.

“The girl was immediately escorted to hospital where she was examined and a report filed. The MCA has been arrested and is assisting police with investigations,” said Mariba.
