High Court advocate Alphonse Kosewe has accused the Chief Justice (CJ) David Maraga for failing to consult widely before halting operations of the Judiciary over Covid-19 pandemic.
Addressing journalists at Milimani Law Courts on Friday, Mr. Kosewe said Justice should not be suspended but be dispensed accordingly depending on the prevailing conditions.

Lawyer Kosewe blamed CJ Maraga for unnecessarily creating a backlog and human made delays of justice which will take several years to deal with.
The Youthful Lawyer was of the view that safety guidelines by Health Ministry ought to have been followed instead of suspending operations.
"Judiciary should provide sanitizers, masks and other related items for staff and public who will be attending to their various cases"
"Forgetting that the large number of advocates and several Kenyans whose matters are pending before Courts are self employed, they must work to be able to make ends meet," lawyer Kosewe said.
Kosewe's sentiments were echoed by Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi who advised the Judiciary to implement digital systems like Tanzania.
Visit by Health Ministry
The Ministry of Health recently dispatched health officials to visit the Judiciary departments and give recommendations on how operations can resume in line with the health and safety requirements.
But after, the Judges and the Magistrates issued press statements to the media complaining of their safety.
