KPA boss, Manduku, resigns

Daniel Manduku on Friday resigned as Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director.
In a letter addressed to Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia, Manduku said he will leave the parastatal on June 1, 2020.
"I do hereby tender my resignation, which I hope you will accept, effective 1st June, 2020. I am immediately proceeding on terminal leave until then," the letter reads in part.

Manduku was arrested on March 2 and was expected to be charged with several charges related to alleged fraud at the Kenya Ports Authority over award of tenders for the construction of cargo storage facilities at the Nairobi Inland Container Depot (ICD).
