Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said its teams captured three elephants that strayed from a sanctuary in Kajiado County and moved into human settlements, terrorizing residents for about three days.

The KWS said after efforts to drive them back to their habitat proved challenging, it decided to translocate them using special tracks.

They were captured on Monday and had been moved to the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The KWS said the elephants are grazing calmly after regaining consciousness from the tranquilizer administered to facilitate movement. (Xinhua)
