Kenya records 189 new Covid-19 cases as nine more die

Kenya on Tuesday recorded 189 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 6, 367 tested in the past 24 hours.
This translates to positivity rate of 3 per cent.
Total confirmed positive cases are now 250,380 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,581,391.

At the same time, 207 patients recovered from the disease taking total recoveries to 243, 064.
"Sadly, nine patients have succumbed to the disease, all of them being late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in the month of September," Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement on Tuesday.
A total of 894 patients are currently admitted in various hospitals countrywide.
