Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) which was merged two weeks ago unveiled its board of directors Friday with Peter Biwott as the Chief Executive Officer.

Biwott has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Export Promotion Council (EPC) until it was merged.

Jan Bedi was also appointed chairman while Kathleen Kihanya, Jaqueline Muga and Mark Bichachi joined in as board members.

State Corporation Advisory Committee (SCAC) CEO Jane Mugambi, while unveiling the team, said the newly formed organisation will strengthen the role of national branding and Export Promotion to avoid duplication of roles.

She said the process of the merger started last year in July during the Kenya Trade Week and a merger implementation unit was formed to start the process, on August 9.

The merger is part of reforms that were initiated by the government to streamline the operations of State agencies to create efficiency in service delivery.
