Kenya confirms 418 new COVID-19 cases, 494 recoveries

Kenya has confirmed 418 new coronavirus cases after 2,474 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman announced on Monday.
This now takes the total number of cases in the country to 13,771.
Of the new cases, 408 are Kenyans and 10 are foreigners.

Some 263 are males and 155 are females.
"We are glad to announce that 494 patients have been discharged. Of these, 465 were on home-based care and 29 were in hospital. We now have a total of 5,616 recoveries," Rashid said.
"We have, however, lost four new patients," he added.
Total number of fatalities has now risen to 238.
