Joy as foundation donates 2,168 beds to women prisons

Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has officially launched the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation and will be referred to as 'the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation'.

Kipchoge said the foundation will focus on two key pillars which are education and environment and will be seeking to strengthen communities both locally and internationally.

The legendary marathoner took to his social media page and reiterated his urge to enlighten those around him through education and environment conservation.

ā€œIā€™m very grateful to launch my Eliud Kipchoge Foundation today and my mission being to give all children in the world access to knowledge and education,ā€ Kipchoge said.

According to Kipchoge his foundation will also aim at nurturing the young generation to be healthy adults in a safe haven.

ā€œI want those children to grow up into healthy adults in a green and breathing world where forests keep our people safe.

Kipchoge hopes to contribute and grow the movement in education and environmental protection through the newly formed Foundation, to reach out to people with like-minded ideas and voice around the world.

The objective of the foundation in environment conservation is to preserve natural forests through re-afforestation, and also encourage farmers to plant trees in their farms.

The foundation also aims at making running become a lifestyle to many people as one way of promoting good health across the globe.

He recapped with his inspiration to reach out to more people globally and raise awareness and finances to build libraries, schools, forests.
