The High Court yesterday finally ruled that four Chinese  accused of canning a Kenyan be deported as earlier ordered by Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i.

At the same time, the prosecution has closed investigation file before trial magistrate Hellen Okwani pending deportation of the four; Liu Jiang, Wang Kai, Zhao Liangbin and Li Shaoqing.

Justice Luka Kimaru, directed that the earlier orders by the CS be implemented and the suspects be deported.

The suspect, through lawyer Abdull Hakim Abullahi, had on Tuesday told the court that they were willing to be deported.

However, the prosecution sought time to get directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) before they could respond to the suspects’ request.

Close investigation

When the matter came up for mention before Justice Kimaru, the prosecution, led by Assistant DPP Jacinta Nyamosi, told the court that she had instruction to close investigation file and have the suspects deported.
