Gor Mahia striker Nicholas Kipkirui is eyeing a goal fest this season in both domestic and continental football as he seeks to improve his tally from the last campaign.
The former Zoo FC forward was the talking point this past weekend after scoring the deciding goal for K’Ogalo in their CAF Champions League preliminary round match against APR Rwanda at the Nyayo National Stadium.

With Gor Mahia facing Algerian side CR Belouizdad in three weeks time in the first round of the tournament, the exciting attacker is now focused on giving his best for the badge.
“We have passed one hurdle, but another one awaits and this is huge for us. I know that if we continue this way, the real Gor Mahia will be seen.
It is step by step for the team because we have not gotten the real fitness needed so there is still work to do,” said the 24-year-old.
“My target is 15 goals and above which if I can achieve, I will be happy. I know for a fact that we have grown and learnt in CAF tournaments so this is nothing new.
The problem I think has been lacking the killer punch but the North African teams are beatable if only we believe in ourselves,” added the player popularly referred to as Onjelo Jagot by the club faithful.
“Our stand-in coach (Sammy Omollo) has motivated me enough to do my best when given an opportunity and so I will continue working.”
After a convincing comeback against APR last Saturday, Gor Mahia’s eyes are already firmly on the first round duel.
K’Ogalo, who came from behind in a sensational style to beat APR 3-1 for a 4-3 aggregate courtesy of two goals in the extra time by substitutes Sydney Ochieng and Nicholas Kipkurui , are now in cloud nine.
