Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia will have a whole week to prepare for Sunday’s clash with KCB after their tie against Chemelil Sugar initially scheduled for today was cancelled yesterday.

Gor were set to face Chemelil at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu this afternoon but the home team changed the venue to Kericho on Tuesday, to K’Ogalo’s dislike.

Gor launched a complaint to league organisers KPL, saying the change would inconvenience them as they had already booked air tickets to Kisumu and other logistics.

KPL regulations say any change in venue or kick-off time should be communicated 72 hours before kick off and Chemelil only requested for the change on Tuesday.

With a new date for the match to be communicated later, Gor, who arrived on Monday from Algeria where they lost 4-1 to USM Alger in the CAF Champions League first round, will now shift focus to Sunday’s clash against the bankers.

Kenya’s other continental representatives Bandari had no such luxuries, however, as they had to come from two goals down to beat Zoo FC 3-2 in Mombasa yesterday.

Bandari, who downed Tunisia’s US Guardane 2-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup in Nairobi on Saturday, were slow off the blocks and got punished by two quickfire goals from Collins Neto in the 15th  and 20th  minutes respectively.

However, Bernard Mwalala’s charges returned after the break rejuvenated and also scored quickly, William Wadri and Yema Mwama scoring in the 46th and 48th minutes to level the scores before Mohamed Katana alias Messi Agege turned the match on its head with the winning goal in the 70th minute.
