Former governor tells off critics after losing plum job

Former Kajiado governor David Nkedianye has dismissed his political competitors “who are spreading falsehoods” following his replacementas the chairman of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority.
In a gazette notice last Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta replaced Nkedianye with Erick Okeyo, who will serve for the next two years.
Nkedianye (above), who was appointed to the plum State job in 2019 after losing the governor’s post to Joseph Lenku, affirmed his loyalty to the current administration and said he is ready to serve Kenyans in any other capacity.

“We all serve at the prerogative of the President… I believe I left a mark and my political competitors must stop peddling lies for political mileage,’’ said Nkedianye.
