Curfew: Police warned against mistreating civilians

Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Sam Ojwang on Monday warned police against beating up civilians during curfew hours.
He said using excessive force against members of the public is criminal and whoever will be found culpable of the act will be individually held accountable.

“Beating and injuring of people during the ongoing curfew is something everyone would wish not to be associated with. I condemn any acts of excessive force against innocent people,’’ Ojwang said.
He further asked police officers in the county to behave humanely when handling people during the curfew.
