Many choice words have been used to describe MPs, and rightly so.

From greedy to shoal of piranhas, Kenyans rarely spare self-serving leaders.

A first-term MP, however, has earned con man tag after reportedly attempting to defraud a former chairman of a constitutional commission of Sh3 million after claiming he could save the official from arrest over graft allegations.

The MP approached the former chairman, claiming to have information the latter’s was about to be arrested and offered to convince the investigating officers to drop the probe.

The panicky man only later realised all this was a figment of the con mans imagination.
