COVID-19: Kenya records 8 new cases, total now at 216

Kenya has confirmed eight new cases of coronavirus, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi announced in a press conference on Tuesday.

Total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has now risen to 216.

Of the new cases, five are Kenyans and the rest are foreigners.

The cases are from Nairobi (6), Siaya (1) and Nakuru (1).

Six of the cases are from quarantine facilities while two were picked by the ministry surveillance team.

One more coronavirus patient has been discharged after turning negative, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 41.
