COVID-19: Kenya confirms 14 new cases, 5 discharges

Kenya has confirmed 14 new cases of coronavirus, Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman announced on Friday.

This brings the total cases in the country to 621.

"All the new cases are Kenyans aged between nine months and 49 years," Aman said.

Ten of the cases are from Nairobi, Mombasa (3) and Machakos (1).

Thirteen of the cases were picked by the ministry's surveillance team for testing while one was from a quarantine facility.

The cases are aged between nine months and 49 years.

"We are glad to announce that five patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours. We now have 202 total recoveries in the country," CAS said.
