COVID-19 cases in Kenya rise to 396, 15 patients discharged

Kenya has confirmed 12 new cases of Coronavirus, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Abdi Aman said on Thursday.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 396.

The new cases were drawn from 777 people tested in the past 24 hours.

Seven of the cases are from Mombasa, Nairobi (3), Wajir (1) and Kitui (1).

"Nine of the cases are males while three are females," CAS said.

A record of 15 patients have been discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 144.

"In the past 24 hoours, we have lost two more patients. Total deaths from the disease is now 17," he said.
