Cops arrest four suspects in taxi drivers abduction ring
Police in Ruiru are holding four people suspected to be behind taxi drivers abduction syndicate in Kiambu county.
The four, who detectives have been grilling for the past few days, are expected to take plea for murder at Kiambu High Court today or tomorrow.
Another suspect has been remanded at Thika prisons waiting to be arraigned with similar charges once police finalise investigations.

Their delayed presentation to court has been attributed to the scaling down of Judiciary operations in the outbreak of Covid-19.
The five have been linked to a kidnapping ring targeting taxi drivers in Ruiru, Thika, Kiamumbi, Naivasha and Nakuru towns.
Recover bones
Ruiru Sub-county police commander Phineas Ringerah confirmed that police have gathered evidence to implicate the suspects to the serious crime that has left tens of families agonising after their loved ones who have disappeared mysteriously.
Ringerah said detectives are working with mobile phone service providers to get clearer information pertaining to communication of the ‘highly-connected’ suspects.
The suspects reportedly led police to an undisclosed location at a forest in Mai Mahiu, Nakuru county, where they have allegedly been dumping the bodies of every taxi man they allegedly execute.
During the operation, police are reported to have recovered bones of the deceased persons.
Ringerah revealed that police are seeking the help of experts who will subject the bones to DNA tests to establish the identities of the deceased.
Two weeks ago, Lawrence Ndirangu, a taxi driver in the outskirts of Ruiru town went missing without trace. Ndirangu was reportedly hired by a customer to ferry him to Mai Mahiu.
