Campaign for 2022 with BBI at your own risk, Kiunjuri warns proponents
Former Cabinet Secretary(CS) Mwangi Kiunjuri has warned politicians against campaigning for the 2022 polls using the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI).
Kiunjuri said a rude shock awaits the politicians who are riding on the BBI Constitutional Amendments rally to campaign for elective seats in the 2022 General Election.
Speaking at Pcea Mwireri church in Umande Ward, Laikipia county on Sunday, Kiunjuri also cautioned BBI campaigners against divisions by presenting 'we VS them' campaign+.

"Those who thought they they would use the BBI kutengeneza pesa and to do campaigns for 2022 jipangeni, muanze kujipanga. Watu watafute kazi ingine ya kufanya," said Kiunjuri.
Kiunjuri who is also the leader of The Service Party(TSP) hailed the BBI for including the interests of Mt. Kenya region.
"At Embu during the BBI rally, our stand was very clear that there is no BBI and there in no referendum without our irreducible minimums. Our question was very clear and our mind was very clear and it was One Man, One Vote and One Shilling. Number two, we talked of guaranteed minimum returns to the farmer. We said if BBI will never addrress those issues, for us is a No," he said.
Kiunjuri who was fired from the Cabinet last year is yet to give his party's official stand on the BBI, but so far, he has supported most of the proposals.
Earlier in the week, Kiunjuri poked holes in the BBI process for its selective accommodation of proposals.
