Bungoma musician gifts DP Ruto piece of land to build party office

A musician from Bungoma has gifted Deputy President William Ruto his piece of land.
The musician, Zakari Daudi, said that he donated the piece of land to Ruto so that he could build an office for his United Democratic Alliance party in Bungoma.
"I have donated my piece to DP Ruto so that he can construct UDA offices and headquarters. I hope that when he visits Webuye, he will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the party's headquarters," he said.

Zakari said that the office will be used to sensitize locals to register as members of the UDA party.
"Having an office here will allow many people to join the party. I, therefore want to urge Bungoma residents to come out to register as members of the party as we wait to welcome our next president who will be visiting the Western region on Thursday," he told reporters.
Zakari's gift comes four years after DP Ruto gifted him a brand new car after he entertained him during one of his tours in Webuye West Constituency.
Asked if the donation was a payback to Ruto's gift, Zakari denied the claim saying that he gave out the land because he is a friend to the Deputy President as well as a member of UDA.
