Blogger in false report on CS Matiang’i detained for two days
Isaac Kibet Yego, one of the suspects arrested on Saturday over a false post claiming Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi contracted coronavirus has been detained for two days.
The State requested to continue holding Yego to allow the police to complete investigations into the matter.
"I hereby allow the prosecution request to detain the suspect for two days at Muthaiga police station," ordered Nairobi Magistrate Martha Mutuku.

The State had sought 14 days to complete investigations but the court declined, saying that there was no justifiable reason to hold him for two weeks.
