By Faith Kyoumukama You would assume everyone in the A-list of celebrities is on Instagram. Surprisingly, Friends star Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram two days ago at 6:03 and already managed to garner more than seven million followers in just five hours and 16 minutes, setting a new record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on the social site. Aniston, whose first photo post was a selfie with her fellow Friends cast members, has currently more than 11 million followers with a blue tick verified account. The caption of the photo read: "Here and now we are Instagram friends Hi Instagram (sic)." Word spread like bush fire that the famous actress had joined Instagram and word on the gram was that the platform was allegedly struggling to deal with the influx of likes and comments on the post. The post had more than 12 million likes and 400,000 plus comments. Other stars such as Ellen DeGeneres and Kate Hudson also commented on the post welcoming her to the platform. Winston is not new to the record-breaking scene. In 2018, she was the joint record holder of the most powerful actress alongside Angelina Jolie after they featured in the Forbes 100 celebrity list. This the third time the record has been broken in 2019. It was previously held by Prince and Meghan Markle who launched @sussexroyak in Aprill this year reaching one million followers in five hours and 45 minutes. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex use this social media account to engage fans with news on their charity work and public engagements. Prior to this, the record was held by K-pop star Kang Daniel, who shockingly got over one million followers in 11 hours and 36 minutes.
